BC paddle sports festival, Saturday 18th February 2006, North Vancouver....

This years festival was a great success with over 300 people attending the Festival. All the films were well received and the after show party was a great success. Thank you to all the people who came along to help out and big thanks to all the film makers for providing us with the great Films we had to watch. Thanks again to all the Sponsors who supported our event...............

Festival Winners

In the main category for the best Water film in the VIMFF the following films were short listed by the VIMFF Judging panel as the final four Films. They were as follows

  • John Grace - 921BC
  • Trey Chace - Creatures of Habit
  • Alex Nicks - Tweaking the Nose of Terror
  • Braden Fandrich, Chris Mennell and Steve Rogers - ‘The last drop'

The over all winner was Trey Chace - Creatures of Habit.

In the 3 minute contest the following people won prizes for their entries.

  • Overall winner and best humour film. Olaf Obsommer and Jens Klatt -Painkillers2
  • Best Creeking. Daniel Noblett - Whitness the Shitness.
  • Best Adventure. Ian Norm - First Descent of the Mukaboo River.

A massive thanks to all the people who entered their Films. The standard was extremely high with the whitewater category being swamped with very high production values.
